ANNUAL ACTIVITIES:Latin American Cinema Festival of Kansas City
The Festival is held on five consecutive Saturdays, starting with the first Saturday in September and ending on the first Saturday of October. (For more information, please see the Latin American Cinema Festival of Kansas City section of this web page.)
“Don Juan Tenorio”:
This Spanish theatrical production is performed by members and friends of Sociedad Hidalgo. The play is presented in November as part of the Mexican Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration.
Noche Mexicana: Formal Dinner-Dance in celebration of Mexico’s Independence. (For the date, place, and other details, please see the Noche Mexicana section of this web page.)
Picnic: The picnic is usually held in May. The place and the time are announced once the location has been selected.
Members will be notified of other activities that may be organized throughout the year.
MONTHLY MEETINGS AND PROGRAMS:
Monthly meetings are normally held on the last Sunday of the month, at 2:00 p.m. at Johnson County Community College (JCCC) in Overland Park, Kansas, unless members are notified otherwise. Cultural presentations are given by members or guest speakers.
